Chicago Primal, LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our websites and services to do the same. This policy describes how to notify us of claimed copyright infringement and how to submit a counter notification, in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

Email notices are processed substantially faster than physical mail. Please include a plain-text version of your notice in the body of your message.
Before you send a notice
A DMCA notice is a sworn legal document. You must state under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a DMCA notice can make you liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Please confirm that the use is not authorized and is not a fair use before submitting. Contacting the user directly is often faster and is frequently the better first step. This policy is not legal advice; consult an attorney about your specific situation.
Contents of a notice
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf. Typing your full name is sufficient for an electronic signature.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notice.
Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to allow us to locate it — a direct URL is best.
Your contact information, including mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
A notice missing these elements may not be effective and may delay our response.
Our response
On receipt of an effective notice we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the material and take reasonable steps to notify the affected user. A copy of your notice, including all information you provide, may be forwarded to the person who posted the material.
Counter notification
If you believe your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter notification to the same agent, including:
Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the material removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, and telephone number.
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, the Northern District of Illinois, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the notice or their agent.
On receipt of an effective counter notification we will forward it to the original complainant. If they do not notify us within ten (10) business days that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore the material within ten (10) to fourteen (14) business days.
Repeat infringers
We maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
Automated submissions
We do not accept bulk notices generated by automated systems without human review. Every notice should be evaluated by a person before it is sent.
